7/10 Seneca Sisters and Skits

This morning, we had hobbies where the girls went to the activity of their choice followed by normal periods. The fun began at dinner time today. On Sundays it is tradition at CSL to have a cookout. Today, we put a spin on that. Every village cooked their own food over a fire and ate together. Seneca girls had some help from the specialist cooking the food and enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs, beans, and corn along with some watermelon for desert. After eating, the girls were assigned their "Seneca Sisters". Girls from each village were paired up with their fellow Senecans from different bunks and were asked to present a skit on how they became sisters. The girl's creativity really shined during this evening program. Girls managed to discover their long lost sisters through hidden birthmarks, secret tails, parent trap parodies and other creative adaptations on how they met each other. After presenting skits and taking a family portrait for each group, the older Senecans went over the Seneca cheers with the younger girls. The oldest Senecans were given an opportunity to show their leadership skills by teaching their sisters the cheers and organizing activities for a village campfire. The girls have truly gotten to know each other and reached out to one another. Seneca is truly becoming closer to sisterhood with each day.
